As a Senior Data Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in transforming raw data into actionable insights that inform strategic decisions. You will work closely with various departments to understand their data needs, build robust analytical models, and create clear visualisations and reports.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data models, dashboards, and reports using tools like SQL, Python, R, or Power BI.
• Analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies related to customer behaviour, loan performance, risk assessment, and operational metrics.
• Translate complex data findings into clear, compelling stories and presentations for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the IT and business intelligence teams to improve data collection processes, data quality, and governance.
• Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and data-driven innovation to support Watu's business objectives across East Africa.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Data Analyst, preferably within the fintech, financial services, or mobility sectors.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Strong experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and statistical programming (e.g., Python, R).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present insights effectively.
