Security Officer Job in Kampala at Pearl Bank Uganda

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Conduct regular patrols of the bank premises and surrounding areas to deter and detect security threats.
• Monitor surveillance equipment, access control points, and alarm systems.
• Provide excellent customer service while screening visitors and verifying identification.
• Respond promptly and effectively to security incidents, emergencies, or alarms.
• Prepare detailed and accurate incident reports and maintain daily security logs.
• Enforce the bank's security policies and procedures consistently.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
• Ensure the security of cash-in-transit and valuable assets during operations.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or its equivalent; additional security training is a strong advantage.
• Proven experience as a Security Officer, preferably in a banking, corporate, or institutional setting in Uganda.
• Valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Uganda Police Force.
• Strong physical fitness and ability to stand/walk for extended periods.
• Excellent observational, communication, and reporting skills.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion.
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Knowledge of basic first aid and fire safety procedures is desirable.
