Security Assistant Job in Kampala at PostBank Uganda

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Monitor and patrol bank premises, including banking halls, offices, and ATM locations, to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or security breaches.
• Operate and monitor security systems, including CCTV cameras, alarms, and access control systems.
• Control access to the bank by verifying identification of visitors and employees, and maintaining accurate entry/exit logs.
• Respond promptly to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies, following established protocols.
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting clients and staff in a professional and courteous manner.
• Conduct routine security checks and report any irregularities, suspicious activities, or safety hazards.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with the bank's security policies and procedures at all times.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or its equivalent; additional security training is a strong advantage.
• Proven experience as a security guard, watchman, or in a similar role, preferably within a corporate or banking environment in Uganda.
• Valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Uganda Police Force.
• Physical fitness and the ability to stand and patrol for extended periods.
• Strong observational skills, integrity, and a high level of responsibility.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic knowledge of security protocols and emergency response procedures.
