Job Description

Marriott International, a global leader in hospitality, is seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Executive to join the prestigious Kampala Marriott Hotel team in Nsambya, Kampala. This is an exciting full-time opportunity for a sales professional to grow their career with a world-class brand in Uganda's vibrant capital.

As a Sales Executive, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue and promoting the hotel's services to corporate clients, travel agencies, and event planners. You will be at the forefront of building lasting relationships and securing business for one of Kampala's premier hospitality destinations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet and exceed revenue targets for the hotel.
  • Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities within the corporate, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions), and leisure travel segments.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients and stakeholders in Uganda and the wider East African region.
  • Prepare and present compelling sales proposals, contracts, and presentations to potential clients.
  • Conduct sales calls, site inspections, and follow-ups to convert leads into confirmed business.
  • Collaborate closely with the hotel's marketing, reservations, and events teams to ensure seamless client experience.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and client interactions in the hotel's CRM system.
  • Represent the Kampala Marriott Hotel at trade shows, industry events, and sales missions.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (2+ years) in sales, preferably within the hospitality, hotel, or tourism industry in Uganda.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong network of contacts within the Ugandan corporate and travel sector is a distinct advantage.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with CRM software.
  • Must be fluent in English; knowledge of local languages is a plus.
