Project Preparation & Investor Support Manager Job at Uganda Development Bank in Kampala

Uganda Development Bank (UDB) is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional for the position of Manager, Project Preparation & Investor Support. This is a senior-level opportunity based at our Head Office in Kampala, Uganda, playing a pivotal role in shaping the nation's economic development.

Job Summary:
Reporting to the Head of Transaction & Enterprise Support Services, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Bank's diverse clientele—including both private and public sector entities—to structure and execute complex financial transactions. Your work will ensure these projects align perfectly with UDB's strategic objectives and risk appetite, directly contributing to Uganda's growth and industrialisation.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Provide expert advisory and support to clients in preparing and structuring bankable projects.
• Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, modelling, and due diligence for complex transactions.
• Guide investors and clients through UDB's financing processes and requirements.
• Ensure all project proposals align with the Bank's development mandate and risk management framework.
• Collaborate with internal teams to facilitate seamless transaction execution.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, investors, and development partners.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional qualification (e.g., CFA, ACCA) is a strong advantage.
• At least 7 years of progressive experience in project finance, investment banking, corporate banking, or a related field, preferably within Uganda or the East African region.
• Proven track record in financial modelling, transaction structuring, and deal execution.
• Excellent understanding of Uganda's economic landscape and development challenges.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
