Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Provide overall leadership and management for the Mbarara branch operations.
• Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth in deposits, loans, and customer acquisition.
• Ensure excellent customer service and satisfaction, building strong relationships with clients in the Mbarara community.
• Manage, mentor, and motivate branch staff to achieve performance targets.
• Ensure strict compliance with all Bank of Uganda regulations and internal policies.
• Oversee branch financial performance, budgeting, and reporting.
• Represent Equity Bank in the Mbarara region through community engagement and networking.
• Manage branch security, risk, and operational efficiency.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, or a related field from a recognised institution.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in the banking sector in Uganda.
• At least 3 years of experience in a branch management or senior supervisory role.
• Strong leadership, people management, and interpersonal skills.
• In-depth knowledge of banking products, services, and Ugandan financial regulations.
• Proven track record in business development and customer relationship management.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• High level of integrity and professional ethics.
