Job Description

UNHCR Uganda is seeking a qualified Programme Associate to join our team in Kampala. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful humanitarian work while developing your career in programme management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in comprehensive programme planning and development
  • Monitor project implementation and progress across various locations
  • Prepare detailed progress reports and documentation
  • Maintain accurate programme records and databases
  • Support coordination with implementing partners and stakeholders
  • Participate in field monitoring visits and assessments
  • Contribute to results-based management processes

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Completion of secondary education with post-secondary training in Programme Management
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in programme implementation
  • Strong knowledge of results-based management principles
  • Proven experience in monitoring and evaluation systems
  • Excellent proficiency in English (both written and verbal)
  • Familiarity with UN systems and procedures is an advantage
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office applications
