PATH, a leading global health non-profit organisation with over 40 years of experience, is seeking a dedicated Program Assistant to join our team in Kampala, Uganda. Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to programme teams including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes
- Organise and coordinate workshops, trainings, and programme events across Uganda
- Manage travel arrangements and logistics for programme staff and international visitors
- Maintain accurate programme files, records, and databases according to organisational standards
- Support preparation of programme reports, presentations, and donor documents
- Assist with procurement processes and inventory management for programme supplies
- Perform additional administrative duties as assigned by your supervisor
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Health, Social Sciences, or related field from a recognised Ugandan university
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in administrative or programme support roles, preferably within NGOs or health organisations in Uganda
- Strong organisational and time management skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is essential
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multicultural teams
- Knowledge of local Ugandan languages (Luganda, Runyankole, etc.) is a strong advantage
