Pharmacy Dispenser Job in Kololo, Kampala - C-Care Uganda

Job Summary:
As a Dispenser at C-Care Uganda, you will play a crucial role in our pharmacy operations. Your primary responsibility will be to participate in the accurate preparation, documentation, and dispensing of medications and medical supplies to various hospital units and directly to our clients. You will be a key point of contact for patients, requiring a compassionate and professional approach to ensure they understand their treatment regimens, thereby improving adherence and health outcomes.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Accurately prepare and dispense prescribed drugs and medical supplies to patients and hospital departments.
• Maintain meticulous documentation and records of all dispensed items in accordance with pharmacy regulations.
• Provide clear, empathetic, and accurate counselling to patients on medication usage, dosage, side effects, and storage.
• Ensure proper storage and inventory management of pharmaceuticals and supplies.
• Collaborate with pharmacists, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated patient care.
• Adhere to all standard operating procedures, safety protocols, and ethical guidelines of the pharmacy profession in Uganda.
• Handle patient queries with professionalism and maintain confidentiality.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• A recognised Diploma in Pharmacy or a related field from a reputable institution.
• Must be registered with the Allied Health Professionals Council of Uganda.
• Proven experience working as a dispenser or in a similar role within a hospital or clinic setting is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on patient care.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organisational skills.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications.
• A professional demeanor, empathy, and integrity.
