Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist Job in Mbale, Uganda - World Vision

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of comprehensive M&E frameworks, plans, and tools for World Vision Uganda's programmes in the Eastern Region.
• Oversee data collection, analysis, and reporting to accurately track programme performance and impact for evidence-based decision making.
• Build the capacity of staff and local partners in M&E methodologies, data management, and ethical standards.
• Conduct regular field visits within the Eastern Region to monitor programme implementation and ensure data quality.
• Prepare high-quality, timely reports for donors, management, and other stakeholders.
• Support programme evaluations, assessments, and learning activities to enhance programme effectiveness.
• Ensure all data collection and management adheres to established ethical and professional standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• Master's degree in Statistics, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably within the NGO or development sector in Uganda.
• Strong expertise in both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.
• High proficiency in statistical software (e.g., SPSS, STATA) and data visualisation tools.
• Excellent report writing, presentation, and communication skills.
• Proven experience working with major donor-funded projects is a distinct advantage.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a diverse team.
