Job Summary

As a Medical Officer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to patients within our hospital units, wards, and outpatient clinics. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring efficient, effective, and profitable medical services while upholding the highest standards of patient safety and satisfaction. You will report directly to the Director of Medical Services.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient consultations, examinations, and diagnoses.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans for patients.
  • Manage patient care in assigned wards, units, and outpatient clinics.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient records.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams including consultants, nurses, and specialists.
  • Adhere to all clinical protocols, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in continuous medical education and training programmes.
  • Contribute to the efficiency and profitability of the medical service.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) or equivalent from a recognised institution.
  • Full registration with the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council with a valid annual practicing license.
  • Minimum of 2 years of post-internship clinical experience in a hospital setting.
  • Strong clinical acumen and excellent diagnostic skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Commitment to professional ethics and patient-centred care.
