IT Risk Officer Job at PostBank Uganda - Kampala

PostBank Uganda, one of Uganda's leading financial institutions, is seeking a qualified IT Risk Officer to join our dynamic team in Kampala. This is an exciting opportunity for a risk management professional to contribute to the bank's digital security and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement IT risk management frameworks and policies
• Conduct regular IT risk assessments and vulnerability analyses
• Monitor and report on IT security controls and compliance
• Identify potential threats to the bank's information systems
• Collaborate with IT teams to implement risk mitigation strategies
• Ensure compliance with Bank of Uganda regulations and international standards
• Conduct security awareness training for staff members
• Manage incident response and recovery procedures

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• Professional certification in risk management (CISA, CRISC, or equivalent)
• Minimum 3 years experience in IT risk management in Ugandan banking sector
• Strong knowledge of Ugandan financial regulations and compliance requirements
• Experience with network security, cybersecurity, and data protection
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
