KCB Bank Uganda, a leading financial institution in the region, is seeking a talented and experienced IT Application Developer/DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic technology team. Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality software applications for the bank's digital platforms.
• Implement and manage CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) pipelines to automate the software delivery process.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software developers, system operators, and IT staff to oversee code releases and deployments.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise application performance and infrastructure reliability.
• Work with cloud technologies and infrastructure to ensure scalable and secure banking solutions.
• Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding, debugging, and providing DevOps support.
• Ensure system security and data protection measures are in line with banking regulations in Uganda.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field from a recognised institution.
• Proven experience as an Application Developer, DevOps Engineer, or similar role, preferably within the banking or financial services sector in Uganda.
• Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or .NET.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps tools like Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, or Git.
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and infrastructure as code.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced banking environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
