IT Security Specialist Job at NSSF Uganda - Mass Market Security Role

The National Social Security Fund (NSSF) Uganda is hiring an experienced IT Security Specialist to join their team in Kampala. This is a critical role focused on protecting the Fund's mass market digital infrastructure and ensuring the security of member data for millions of Ugandans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement security protocols for NSSF's mass market digital platforms
• Monitor and protect against cybersecurity threats targeting member data
• Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability testing
• Implement and manage security tools for intrusion detection and prevention
• Respond to and investigate security incidents and breaches
• Ensure compliance with Uganda's data protection and cybersecurity regulations
• Provide security awareness training to staff members
• Collaborate with IT teams to design secure system architectures

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Professional certifications in cybersecurity (CISSP, CISM, or equivalent)
• Minimum 3-5 years experience in IT security, preferably in financial services
• Strong knowledge of network security, encryption, and access control systems
• Experience with security frameworks and compliance standards
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
