Job Responsibilities

As an IT Support Specialist at Old Mutual Uganda, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our technological infrastructure. Your key duties will include:

• Providing comprehensive technical support for hardware, software, and network systems
• Troubleshooting and resolving IT issues promptly to minimise downtime
• Maintaining and optimising IT infrastructure to ensure peak performance
• Implementing and monitoring data security measures to protect company information
• Assisting staff with technical problems and providing user training when needed
• Staying updated on the latest IT trends and recommending system improvements
• Documenting technical procedures and maintaining system records

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this IT Support Specialist role, you should possess:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support or system administration
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, cybersecurity principles, and cloud services
• Professional certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified Professional (advantageous)
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
