The Civil Aviation Authority Uganda (UCAA) is seeking a dynamic and innovative ICT Innovation Officer to join its team in Entebbe. About the Company

Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA) is the national body responsible for the regulation and safety oversight of civil aviation in Uganda. Operating in conformity with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards, UCAA plays a crucial role in connecting Uganda to the world and supporting the nation's economic growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, research, and propose innovative ICT solutions to enhance aviation operations and services.
• Support the implementation and management of new digital systems and technologies.
• Collaborate with various departments to understand operational challenges and develop tech-driven solutions.
• Assist in project management for ICT initiatives, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends relevant to the aviation and public sectors in Uganda.
• Contribute to the Authority's compliance with international ICT and cybersecurity standards.
• Provide technical support and training for new systems to staff.

Requirements & Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field from a recognised institution.
• Proven experience in ICT project support, innovation, or systems analysis. Experience in the aviation or public sector is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of current software development, database management, and network systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• A high degree of integrity, professionalism, and commitment.
• Must be a Ugandan citizen.
