A leading Microfinance Institution in Uganda is seeking a qualified and experienced Finance Officer to join its team in Mbale. Key Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, statements, and management accounts.

  • Develop, monitor, and manage the organisation's annual budget and forecasts.

  • Oversee and manage the loan portfolio, ensuring compliance and optimal performance.

  • Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making by management.

  • Ensure adherence to internal financial controls, policies, and Ugandan regulatory standards.

  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support operational efficiency.

  • Assist with audit processes and implement recommendations.

Requirements and Qualifications:



  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field from a recognised university.

  • Full CPA qualification is mandatory.

  • A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience working within the microfinance or banking sector in Uganda.

  • Proven expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and loan portfolio management.

  • High proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.

  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and integrity.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
