Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all financial operations for the Uganda country office, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Lead budgeting processes and financial forecasting for programme activities
• Prepare timely financial reports for management and international donors
• Ensure strict compliance with Ugandan financial regulations and donor requirements
• Oversee grant management, including tracking and reporting on donor funds
• Supervise and mentor the finance team, promoting professional development
• Coordinate internal and external audit processes
• Implement and maintain robust financial controls and systems
• Provide strategic financial advice to senior management

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Full CPA or ACCA qualification (mandatory)
• Minimum 8 years of progressive finance management experience
• Proven experience managing donor funds (USAID, EU, UN agencies preferred)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in major accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities
• Thorough knowledge of Ugandan tax laws and financial regulations
• Experience in NGO or humanitarian sector is highly advantageous
• Strong communication skills in English
