Diageo, a global leader in beverage alcohol, is seeking an experienced and qualified Finance Manager to join our team in Kampala, Uganda. This is a senior leadership role where you will play a pivotal part in steering the financial strategy and operations for our business in Uganda.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and monthly/quarterly financial reporting.
• Ensure strict compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local Ugandan accounting regulations.
• Lead the annual audit process and manage relationships with external auditors.
• Provide strategic financial insights and analysis to senior management to support key business decisions.
• Manage cash flow, treasury, and tax planning activities.
• Develop and mentor the local finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
• Implement and optimise financial controls and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications & Experience Required

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field from a recognised university.
• Full professional accounting qualification such as CPA (Uganda), ACCA, or equivalent is mandatory.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in a finance role, with at least 3 years in a management position.
• Proven experience in a multinational corporation or a large local enterprise is highly desirable.
• Advanced proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical mind with a keen attention to detail.
