We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Finance Manager to join our team in Kampala, Uganda.

Job Summary

As the Finance Manager, you will provide strategic leadership for all financial management and accounting functions for World Vision's programmes across Uganda. You will ensure strict compliance with donor requirements, organisational policies, and Ugandan government regulations, playing a critical role in our mission's sustainability and impact.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Oversee the complete budgeting, financial reporting, and forecasting processes for the country programme.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to major donors (e.g., USAID, EU, UN), World Vision headquarters, and Ugandan government authorities.
• Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and treasury functions to ensure operational liquidity.
• Lead the annual audit process and ensure implementation of all audit recommendations.
• Provide senior management with strategic financial analysis and advice for informed decision-making.
• Build the capacity of the national finance team and enforce robust financial controls.
• Serve as the primary liaison for financial matters with external stakeholders, including donors, auditors, and Ugandan government agencies.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field from a recognised institution.
• A professional accounting certification (CPA, ACCA) is mandatory.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial management, preferably within an NGO or international organisation in Uganda.
• Proven expertise in donor financial regulations (USAID, EU, UN agencies).
• High proficiency in major accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, organisational, and team leadership abilities.
• Strong commitment to World Vision's core values, ethos, and Christian mission.
• Fluency in English is required.
