Finance and Operations Director - USAID Urban Health Activity Kampala

World Vision International is seeking an experienced Finance and Operations Director to lead financial management for the USAID/Uganda Urban Health Activity based in Kampala. This senior leadership position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful health initiatives across Uganda's urban centres.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee comprehensive financial management and operational systems for USAID-funded urban health projects
• Ensure strict compliance with USAID regulations and Ugandan financial laws
• Manage project budgeting, financial reporting, and forecasting processes
• Lead and supervise the finance and operations team in Kampala
• Coordinate financial matters with implementation partners and stakeholders
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures aligned with project objectives
• Monitor project expenditures and ensure optimal resource utilisation

Requirements and Qualifications:
• Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field
• Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in financial management
• Proven experience with USAID projects and regulations is mandatory
• Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA or equivalent)
• Comprehensive knowledge of Ugandan financial regulations and tax laws
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience working in the development sector, preferably in health projects
