Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Provide expert leadership and oversight for all conveyancing and legal research activities within the organisation.
• Manage complex property transactions, title transfers, and legal documentation with precision and compliance.
• Lead a team of legal professionals, offering mentorship and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
• Conduct in-depth legal research to support client advisory services, board decisions, and organisational strategy.
• Ensure all legal processes adhere to Ugandan laws, regulations, and international best practices.
• Collaborate with other departments and senior management to provide integrated legal solutions.
• Represent the organisation in high-stakes legal and conveyancing matters.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognised university. A Master's degree (LLM) or postgraduate legal qualification is a strong advantage.
• Must be an enrolled Advocate of the High Court of Uganda with a valid practising certificate.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of post-enrolment experience, with substantial expertise in conveyancing, property law, and corporate legal research.
• Proven track record in a senior legal or managerial role, preferably within a large corporate, consultancy, or professional services firm in Uganda.
• Exceptional analytical, research, and report-writing skills.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
