Job Description
CRS Uganda is seeking an experienced Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) to join our senior management team in Uganda. This is a senior-level position offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful development work in Uganda.
As Deputy Chief of Party, you will play a critical role in supporting programme implementation and management across CRS Uganda's development initiatives. You will work closely with the Chief of Party to ensure programme quality, donor compliance, and effective partnership management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide strategic leadership and technical oversight for programme implementation
• Support the Chief of Party in managing donor relationships and compliance requirements
• Oversee programme monitoring, evaluation, and learning systems
• Manage and mentor programme staff and technical teams
• Ensure effective coordination with government partners and local stakeholders
• Contribute to programme reporting and documentation requirements
• Support budget management and financial oversight
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
• Master's degree in International Development, Public Administration, or related field
• Minimum 8 years of experience in programme management with international NGOs
• Proven experience in senior management roles with USAID or other major donors
• Strong understanding of Uganda's development context and government systems
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills
• Experience working with diverse stakeholders including government and community partners
