Job Summary

As a Dental Nurse at C-Care Uganda, you will play a crucial supporting role to our dental surgeons and specialists. You will be instrumental in ensuring smooth clinical operations, maintaining the highest standards of patient care, and creating a positive experience for all patients visiting our dental department in Gulu.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist the dental surgeon during various clinical procedures and treatments.
• Prepare and organise dental treatment rooms, ensuring all instruments and materials are ready.
• Maintain strict infection prevention and control standards according to Ministry of Health guidelines.
• Sterilise and manage dental instruments and equipment properly.
• Provide chair-side assistance and support to both the dentist and the patient.
• Manage patient records and ensure accurate documentation.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
• Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in the dental clinic.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Diploma in Dental Nursing from a recognised institution in Uganda.
• Valid practicing license from the Allied Health Professionals Council.
• At least 1-2 years of experience working as a dental nurse in a clinical setting.
• Strong knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and infection control protocols.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Compassionate, patient-centred approach to care.
• Willingness to work in Gulu, Northern Uganda.
