Data and Systems Lead Job in Uganda - Fixed-Term Contract at One Acre Fund

One Acre Fund Uganda is seeking an exceptional Data and Systems Lead for a fixed-term contract to drive data-driven decision-making and enhance our agricultural programme's impact across Uganda.

This senior role is critical for our next 5-year growth phase. You will analyse complex operational data, build robust systems, and provide strategic recommendations to improve efficiency and service delivery to Ugandan smallholder farmers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse programme data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for impact.
• Design and implement data systems and tools to support field operations and management decisions.
• Lead the development of dashboards and reports for various stakeholders.
• Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to senior leadership to shape programme strategy.
• Collaborate with field teams in Uganda to understand on-the-ground challenges and data needs.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and best practices across our Ugandan operations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or systems management.
• Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, R, Python, Stata) and visualisation platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Proven experience managing complex datasets and deriving actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills to translate technical findings for non-technical audiences.
• Strong project management and problem-solving abilities.
• Passion for agriculture, social impact, and rural development in the Ugandan context.
