Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Develop and execute strategic business development plans to drive growth for Old Mutual in Uganda.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities and market segments within the financial services and insurance industry.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and corporate partners.
• Conduct thorough market research and analysis to understand trends, competitor activity, and customer needs in the Ugandan market.
• Lead client acquisition initiatives and develop strategies to increase product penetration and market share.
• Formulate and negotiate partnership agreements to expand business channels.
• Set and achieve ambitious sales targets and performance metrics.
• Prepare and present detailed business reports and forecasts to senior management.

Qualifications & Experience Required

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field from a recognised institution.
• A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or a similar role, preferably within the financial services, banking, or insurance sector in Uganda.
• Strong knowledge of the Ugandan financial services market, regulatory environment, and consumer behaviour.
• Excellent networking, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to develop strategies and convert opportunities into tangible business results.
• Self-motivated, target-driven, and capable of working independently.
