I&M Bank Uganda is seeking a qualified Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Data Centre Officer to join our dynamic IT team in Kampala. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to ensure the continuous operation of our critical banking systems and data infrastructure.

As a BCP and Data Centre Officer, you will play a vital role in maintaining the bank's operational resilience and data security. You will be responsible for implementing and monitoring business continuity strategies while ensuring our data centre operations meet the highest standards of reliability and security.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, and maintain business continuity plans and disaster recovery procedures
• Monitor and manage data centre operations, including server infrastructure and network systems
• Conduct regular risk assessments and business impact analyses
• Coordinate and execute disaster recovery tests and simulations
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
• Maintain documentation for all BCP and data centre processes
• Provide technical support for critical systems and infrastructure
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure business continuity awareness

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in business continuity planning or data centre operations
• Professional certifications in BCP/DR (such as CBCP) will be an added advantage
• Strong knowledge of data centre infrastructure and banking systems
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
