Equity Group Holdings, a leading financial services provider in Uganda and East Africa, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Branch Manager to lead our operations in Mbarara. This is a senior-level position for a banking professional ready to drive growth, manage a high-performing team, and deliver exceptional customer service in one of Uganda's key commercial centres.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Oversee the day-to-day operations and management of the Mbarara branch.
• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of banking staff to achieve performance targets.
• Develop and implement strategic business plans to grow the branch's customer base, deposits, and loan portfolio.
• Ensure strict compliance with Bank of Uganda regulations, internal policies, and operational standards.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, businesses, and the local community in Mbarara and the wider Western region.
• Analyse financial reports and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improved profitability.
• Maintain high standards of service delivery and resolve customer queries effectively.

Requirements & Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field from a recognised university.
• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in the banking sector, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing teams.
• Excellent knowledge of banking products, services, and regulatory compliance in Uganda.
• Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and customer relationship management skills.
• Proven ability to meet and exceed sales and business targets.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and problem-solving ability.
