Transport and Logistics Officer (Locum) - Joint Clinical Research Center Uganda

The Joint Clinical Research Center (JCRC) is seeking a qualified Transport and Logistics Officer on locum basis to join our dynamic team in Uganda. This is an excellent opportunity for logistics professionals to contribute to healthcare delivery through efficient transport and supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate all transport operations and fleet management
• Oversee vehicle maintenance schedules and ensure roadworthiness
• Coordinate logistics for medical supplies and equipment distribution
• Plan and optimize delivery routes across Uganda
• Maintain accurate transport records and documentation
• Ensure compliance with Ugandan transport regulations and safety standards
• Manage fuel consumption and transport-related expenses
• Coordinate with various departments on logistics requirements

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Transport Management, or related field
• Minimum 3 years experience in transport and logistics operations
• Valid Ugandan driving permit with classes relevant to organizational vehicles
• Strong knowledge of Ugandan road networks and transport regulations
• Experience in fleet management and maintenance scheduling
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
