Job Description
Medical Teams International is seeking a dedicated Logistics Officer to join our humanitarian team in Moyo, Uganda. This critical role focuses on managing supply chain and logistics operations to support our life-saving medical services in the region.
As a Logistics Officer with Medical Teams International, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient flow of medical supplies and equipment to support our healthcare programs serving vulnerable communities in Northern Uganda.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end supply chain operations and logistics coordination
- Oversee inventory management and stock control systems
- Coordinate procurement processes and vendor relationships
- Ensure proper distribution of medical supplies and equipment
- Maintain accurate logistics documentation and reporting
- Optimise warehouse management and storage facilities
- Coordinate transportation and delivery schedules
- Implement logistics best practices and compliance standards
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management
- Proven experience in inventory management and stock control
- Strong organisational and coordination skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Familiarity with humanitarian logistics standards
- Experience working in NGO or humanitarian settings preferred
