Job Description

Are you an experienced Technical Program Manager looking for a meaningful consulting role in East Africa? Living Goods, a leading non-profit organisation dedicated to improving community health, is seeking a skilled Consultant – Technical Program Manager to be based in Nairobi, Kenya. This is a unique opportunity to apply your technical expertise to programmes that directly impact millions of lives across Uganda and the region.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage complex technical programmes and projects from conception to delivery.
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams of developers, product managers, and field staff.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, solving technical and operational challenges.
• Monitor and report on programme performance, ensuring milestones are met on time and within scope.
• Collaborate with stakeholders in Uganda, Kenya, and other operating countries to ensure successful implementation.

Requirements & Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Technical Program Manager, Project Manager, or similar role in the technology or development sector.
• Strong background in managing software development, digital health, or IT infrastructure projects.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a consultancy-based engagement.
• Experience working in East Africa, particularly in Uganda or Kenya, is a strong advantage.
• A passion for public health, social impact, and community development.
