Technical Officer - Capacity Building and Sustainability Reporting Jobs in Kampala, Uganda
Job Description
The Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development (MoFPED) is seeking qualified and experienced Technical Officers to join the NDP IV Programme Secretariat. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to Uganda's national development agenda by strengthening institutional capacity and enhancing sustainability reporting frameworks.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement capacity building strategies for government institutions under the NDP IV framework
- Design training programmes and materials on sustainability reporting and monitoring & evaluation
- Provide technical support to ministries, departments and agencies on results-based management
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions for government technical staff
- Prepare comprehensive sustainability and progress reports for the NDP IV Programme
- Support the development of monitoring frameworks and performance indicators
- Build partnerships with stakeholders to enhance programme implementation
- Contribute to knowledge management and best practice documentation
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Development Studies, Public Administration or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in capacity building, monitoring & evaluation, or programme management
- Proven experience working with government institutions or development partners in Uganda
- Strong understanding of Uganda's National Development Planning framework
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools
- Experience in designing and delivering training programmes
- Knowledge of sustainability reporting standards and frameworks
