Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure timely product delivery across Uganda.
• Manage the full supply chain cycle: procurement, logistics, inventory management, warehousing, and distribution.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local suppliers, distributors, and logistics partners.
• Monitor inventory levels using advanced systems to prevent stock-outs or overstocking, ensuring optimal working capital.
• Analyse supply chain performance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Ensure full compliance with all Ugandan logistics regulations, customs procedures, and health & safety standards.
• Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with a strong preference for candidates from the FMCG, manufacturing, or beverage industry in Uganda.
• In-depth knowledge of Ugandan logistics networks, transport regulations, and import/export processes.
• Proven expertise in using supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and high proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with a track record of managing complex projects.
• Strong analytical abilities to interpret data and make strategic decisions.
