Key Responsibilities

As the Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Developing and implementing strategic supply chain plans to optimise inventory, reduce costs, and improve service levels across Uganda.
• Leading the entire supply chain operation, including procurement, production planning, logistics, warehousing, and distribution.
• Managing strong relationships with local suppliers and third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure seamless operations.
• Overseeing warehouse management and inventory control to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
• Leading the production planning and scheduling process in alignment with sales forecasts and market demand.
• Ensuring full compliance with all Ugandan health, safety, and environmental regulations and Diageo's global standards.
• Driving continuous improvement projects to enhance supply chain performance and resilience.
• Collaborating with sales, marketing, and finance teams to resolve operational challenges and support business growth.

Qualifications & Experience Required

• A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field. A professional qualification (e.g., CIPS, CSCP) is a strong advantage.
• Proven senior-level experience (8+ years) in end-to-end supply chain management within the manufacturing or FMCG industry in Uganda or East Africa.
• Expert, hands-on experience with SAP or similar advanced ERP systems is essential.
• Demonstrated excellence in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and strategic planning.
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
