Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain our robust digital payment platform used by thousands of Ugandans
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and QA engineers
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following industry best practices
• Implement and optimise cloud-based solutions to ensure platform scalability and reliability
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to maintain high system availability

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field from a recognised institution
• Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience in Uganda or similar market
• Strong proficiency in Java and Python programming languages
• Practical experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
• Experience with database systems and API development
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
