Short-Term Housekeeper Job in Garowe, Somalia - 5 Month Contract with ICRC

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is seeking a dedicated and reliable Housekeeper for a short-term 5-month contract based in Garowe, Somalia. About the Role:
As a Housekeeper with the ICRC, you will play a vital role in maintaining clean, safe, and organised living and working environments for our staff. Your work directly supports our humanitarian mission by ensuring operational efficiency and staff well-being in our Garowe sub-delegation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough cleaning of assigned residential and office areas, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and common spaces.
• Ensure all facilities are hygienic, well-stocked with necessary supplies, and presentable at all times.
• Handle laundry, ironing, and linen management efficiently.
• Monitor and report any maintenance issues or inventory needs for cleaning materials.
• Adhere to ICRC's safety, security, and hygiene protocols.
• Work collaboratively with other support staff to ensure seamless operations.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in professional housekeeping, cleaning, or domestic services.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good physical fitness for performing cleaning duties.
• Understanding of and respect for diverse cultures in a humanitarian context.
• Previous experience in an international organisation or camp setting is an advantage.
