Project Evaluation Consultant - Child Labour Project in Uganda
Job Description
APT Action on Poverty is seeking a qualified Project Evaluation Consultant to conduct the final evaluation of our Child Labour Project in Uganda. This critical role will assess project impact, effectiveness, and sustainability while providing actionable recommendations for future programming.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement comprehensive evaluation methodology for child labour project
- Conduct field assessments and stakeholder interviews across project locations
- Analyse project data and impact on child labour reduction in Uganda
- Prepare detailed evaluation report with findings and recommendations
- Present evaluation results to project stakeholders and donors
- Ensure evaluation meets international standards and donor requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, or related field
- Minimum 5 years' experience in project evaluation in Uganda
- Proven expertise in child protection and child labour programming
- Strong research, analytical, and report writing skills
- Experience working with international NGOs and donor agencies
- Familiarity with Ugandan child protection laws and policies
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with UNICEF or ILO child labour programmes
- Knowledge of local languages in project areas
- Understanding of Ugandan cultural context and community dynamics
