Job Description

ISSD Uganda is seeking 4 dedicated PIP Field Officers to join our environmental conservation team in Bududa District. This is an exciting opportunity for professionals passionate about watershed management and land restoration to make a tangible impact in local communities.

Position Overview:
As a PIP Field Officer based at our Bududa Field Office, you will play a crucial role in implementing project activities focused on watershed management and land restoration pathways. You will work directly with local communities to promote sustainable environmental practices and support ecosystem restoration efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
• Implement and monitor watershed management activities in designated sub-watersheds
• Support land restoration pathway initiatives and community engagement
• Conduct field assessments and collect data on environmental indicators
• Facilitate community training sessions on sustainable land use practices
• Collaborate with local stakeholders and community leaders
• Prepare regular progress reports and documentation
• Monitor project implementation and provide technical support

Requirements:
• Diploma or Degree in Environmental Science, Agriculture, Forestry, or related field
• Minimum 2 years experience in field-based environmental projects
• Knowledge of watershed management and conservation practices
• Experience working with rural communities in Uganda
• Strong communication and community mobilization skills
• Ability to ride a motorcycle with valid riding permit
• Familiarity with Bududa district and local languages
