Job Summary

As a Dispenser at C-Care Uganda, you will play a crucial role in our pharmacy operations. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the accurate preparation, documentation, and dispensing of medications and medical supplies to both hospital units and outpatients. You will be a key point of contact for patients, providing essential counselling to improve treatment adherence and health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Accurately prepare and dispense prescribed drugs and medical supplies.
• Maintain meticulous documentation and records of all pharmacy transactions.
• Provide clear, empathetic, and professional counselling to patients on medication usage, dosage, and potential side effects.
• Ensure proper storage and inventory management of pharmaceuticals.
• Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimise patient care.
• Adhere to all national pharmacy regulations and C-Care's standard operating procedures.
• Handle patient queries with professionalism and maintain excellent customer service.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Diploma in Pharmacy or a related field from a recognised institution.
• Registration with the Allied Health Professionals Council is mandatory.
• Proven experience working as a dispenser or pharmacy technician in a hospital or clinic setting is a strong advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient-centred approach.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Good knowledge of common pharmaceuticals and medical supplies.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure.
