Job Description
The Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development (MoFPED) is recruiting qualified Ugandan professionals to join the National Development Plan (NDP) IV Programme Secretariat. These are critical roles in shaping Uganda's economic future and implementing the national development agenda.
We are seeking dedicated individuals for various positions within the secretariat to support the coordination, monitoring, and evaluation of the NDP IV. This is your opportunity to contribute directly to national development while building a rewarding career in public service.
Key Responsibilities (Vary by Position):
• Support the coordination and implementation of NDP IV programmes and projects
• Conduct research, data analysis, and prepare progress reports on development indicators
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement with government MDAs, private sector, and development partners
• Monitor project performance against set targets and recommend corrective actions
• Prepare technical briefs, concept papers, and policy documents for senior management
• Support resource mobilisation efforts for development programmes
• Ensure adherence to government planning, budgeting, and reporting frameworks
Requirements & Qualifications:
• A Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Public Administration, Development Studies, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's is an added advantage)
• Relevant professional experience in planning, monitoring & evaluation, project management, or public policy
• Strong analytical, report writing, and presentation skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis software
• Knowledge of Uganda's development planning framework and public sector operations
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• High level of integrity and commitment to public service
