Job Description

The Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development (MoFPED) is recruiting qualified Ugandan professionals for several vacant positions within the National Development Plan (NDP) IV Programme Secretariat. This is a unique opportunity to contribute directly to Uganda's national development agenda and work at the heart of the country's economic planning.

We are seeking dedicated individuals with expertise in planning, monitoring, evaluation, and programme management to join our team in Kampala. Successful candidates will play a crucial role in implementing, coordinating, and tracking the progress of the NDP IV, which is the blueprint for Uganda's socio-economic transformation.

Key Responsibilities & Opportunities:
β€’ Support the coordination and implementation of the NDP IV across government sectors.
β€’ Conduct research, data analysis, and prepare progress reports on development programmes.
β€’ Facilitate monitoring and evaluation (M&E) activities to ensure alignment with national goals.
β€’ Engage with various stakeholders, including government MDAs, development partners, and the private sector.
β€’ Contribute to policy analysis and the development of strategic frameworks.

Requirements for Applicants:
β€’ A relevant Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Statistics, Development Studies, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognised institution.
β€’ Proven experience in programme/project management, monitoring & evaluation, or strategic planning.
β€’ Strong analytical, report writing, and communication skills.
β€’ Proficiency in computer applications, particularly data analysis software.
β€’ A minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience for most positions (specifics will vary by role).
