Job Description
FHI 360 Uganda is seeking a qualified Monitoring and Evaluation Officer to join our dynamic team in Kampala. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled M&E professional to contribute to meaningful development projects in Uganda.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive M&E frameworks and systems
- Track and monitor project performance against established indicators
- Conduct regular field monitoring visits across project sites in Uganda
- Collect, analyse, and validate project data using appropriate methodologies
- Prepare detailed quarterly and annual performance reports
- Build capacity of project staff in M&E concepts and tools
- Ensure data quality assurance and management
- Support programme planning and decision-making processes
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Development Studies, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in monitoring and evaluation
- Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, STATA, etc.)
- Excellent command of MS Office applications, particularly Excel
- Experience working with NGOs or development organisations in Uganda
- Knowledge of Uganda's development landscape and M&E frameworks
- Strong report writing and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in multicultural teams
