Yalelo Uganda, a leading aquaculture and fish farming enterprise, is seeking two (2) skilled and dedicated Mechanical Technicians to join our dynamic engineering team at our Butembe-Buikwe facility. Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on all mechanical equipment and systems at the aquaculture facility.
• Diagnose mechanical faults, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions to minimise downtime.
• Conduct preventive maintenance schedules on pumps, aerators, generators, water treatment systems, and other production machinery.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new mechanical equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, spare parts usage, and equipment performance.
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company safety standards and Ugandan regulations.
• Collaborate with the wider engineering and production teams to optimise operational efficiency.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field from a recognised Ugandan institution.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of proven hands-on experience as a Mechanical Technician, preferably in a manufacturing, production, or processing plant.
• Strong practical knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and diesel/petrol engines.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
• Valid riding permit (Class A) is a strong advantage.
