Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain automation systems for cement manufacturing processes.
• Troubleshoot and optimise Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), SCADA systems, and other industrial control systems.
• Ensure the reliability and efficiency of instrumentation and process control loops.
• Develop and execute preventative maintenance schedules for automation equipment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production and maintenance, to improve plant performance.
• Provide technical support and training to operations staff on automation systems.
• Ensure all automation activities comply with safety standards and company policies.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field from a recognised institution.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in automation engineering, preferably within the manufacturing, cement, or heavy industrial sector in Uganda or East Africa.
• Strong proficiency with PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley), SCADA systems, and industrial networks.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a plant environment.
• Strong commitment to safety protocols and quality standards.
