Nation Media Group (NMG), Uganda's leading independent media house, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Marketing Manager to lead our marketing initiatives across the country. This is a senior-level opportunity in Kampala for a strategic thinker who can drive brand growth and market leadership in Uganda's competitive media landscape.

About the Role

As our Marketing Manager in Uganda, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that enhance NMG's brand presence, audience engagement, and commercial success. You will lead a team and collaborate with various departments to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement innovative marketing strategies and annual plans for NMG Uganda.


• Lead, manage, and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns across digital, print, broadcast, and outdoor platforms.


• Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and consumer insights in the Ugandan market.


• Manage the marketing budget effectively, ensuring optimal allocation and return on investment.


• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, agencies, and partners.


• Oversee brand management and ensure consistent messaging across all NMG Uganda platforms.


• Analyse campaign performance using relevant metrics and prepare detailed reports for senior management.


• Lead and mentor the marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity and excellence.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field from a recognised institution.


• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in marketing, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.


• Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies in Uganda or the East African region.


• Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and cross-functional projects.


• Excellent understanding of the Ugandan media landscape and consumer behaviour.


• Proficiency in digital marketing tools, analytics platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.


• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
