Are you an experienced financial services leader seeking a senior role at Uganda's premier national development finance institution? Uganda Development Bank (UDB) is hiring a Manager of Professional Services to lead our advisory unit and drive impactful financial solutions for Uganda's development.
Job Summary
The Manager of Professional Services will lead and oversee the Bank’s professional services unit, ensuring the delivery of high-quality financial and technical advisory services to our existing and prospective clients across both the public and private sectors in Uganda. This is a senior leadership position reporting directly to the Head of Transaction & Enterprise Support Services.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Lead, manage, and develop the Bank's Professional Services team.
- Oversee the delivery of comprehensive financial advisory and technical assistance services to UDB clients.
- Develop and implement strategies for the professional services unit in alignment with UDB's national development mandate.
- Provide expert advisory on project financing, feasibility studies, and financial structuring for key sectors in Uganda.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with public and private sector clients, stakeholders, and development partners.
- Ensure all advisory services comply with UDB policies, Ugandan regulations, and international best practices.
- Contribute to the Bank's goal of stimulating economic growth and industrial development in Uganda.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field from a recognised institution.
- Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CFA, or CIMA are a strong advantage.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in financial advisory, corporate finance, or management consulting, with at least 3 years in a senior managerial role.
- Proven experience working with both public and private sector clients in Uganda or the East African region.
- Strong understanding of Uganda's financial sector, development landscape, and regulatory environment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- A deep commitment to Uganda's socio-economic transformation.
