About the Role
As a Customer Service Representative, you will be the face of Equity Bank, providing exceptional service to our valued customers. You will play a crucial role in handling daily banking transactions, promoting our innovative products, and ensuring every customer interaction is positive and efficient. This position is ideal for someone passionate about finance, customer satisfaction, and professional growth within a reputable Ugandan bank.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Deliver frontline customer service and support in the banking hall.
- Process customer transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and transfers, with accuracy and speed.
- Actively promote and cross-sell Equity Bank's products and services, such as savings accounts, loans, and mobile banking solutions.
- Resolve customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally and promptly.
- Manage and balance your cash drawer daily in line with bank procedures.
- Adhere strictly to the bank's service standards, operational guidelines, and compliance regulations.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve branch targets and enhance customer experience.
What We Are Looking For (Requirements)
- A minimum of a Diploma in Business Administration, Banking, Finance, or a related field from a recognised institution.
- At least 2 years of proven experience in a customer service role, preferably within a banking or financial services environment in Uganda.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English and Luganda or other local languages as an added advantage.
- Strong numerical aptitude and good computer literacy.
- Solid knowledge of standard banking products, services, and processes.
- A genuine customer-first attitude and a professional demeanour.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and willingness to work flexible hours, including Saturdays.
