Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor a robust IT security strategy to protect NSSF's systems and data.
- Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability testing, and risk analyses.
- Manage security infrastructure, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint protection.
- Respond to and investigate security incidents and breaches, implementing corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with national data protection regulations and internal security policies.
- Provide security awareness training to staff across the Fund.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats and trends relevant to Uganda and the financial sector.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are a strong advantage.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in IT security, information security, or a related role, preferably within Uganda's financial services or public sector.
- In-depth knowledge of network security, application security, and cloud security principles.
- Strong understanding of Ugandan data protection and cybersecurity legal frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- High level of integrity and dedication.
