IT Graduate Trainee Programme - Kijani Forestry Gulu, Uganda

Kijani Forestry, a leader in sustainable forestry and agroforestry in Uganda, is seeking passionate and driven IT graduates for our Graduate Trainee Programme in Gulu. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates to launch their IT careers with a company committed to environmental sustainability and community development in Northern Uganda.

As an IT Graduate Trainee, you will undergo a structured training programme designed to equip you with practical skills and hands-on experience in a dynamic work environment. You will work alongside experienced professionals, contributing to real projects that support our forestry operations and business systems.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the maintenance and troubleshooting of computer systems, hardware, and software.
• Provide technical support to staff across various departments.
• Participate in the development and management of the company's network infrastructure.
• Support data management and analysis for forestry and agricultural projects.
• Learn and assist with the implementation of new IT systems and digital tools.
• Contribute to IT projects aimed at improving operational efficiency.
• Document IT processes and provide user training where necessary.

Requirements:
• A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field from a recognised university.
• Graduated in 2023 or 2024.
• Strong passion for technology and a keen interest in applying IT solutions in the agricultural/forestry sector.
• Basic knowledge of networking, hardware, and common software applications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to a rural work setting in Gulu.
