Human Resources Coordinator Job in Buliisa, Uganda | ME Uganda
Job Description
ME Uganda, a leading construction and engineering company, is seeking a dedicated and proactive Human Resources Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Buliisa. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional to contribute to our growing operations in Uganda's oil and gas region.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive HR support, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of the HR department, and acting as a vital link between management and employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the full recruitment cycle, including job postings, screening CVs, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
- Manage employee onboarding and orientation programmes for new hires.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR databases.
- Assist with payroll preparation by providing relevant data (absences, leaves, etc.).
- Support the administration of employee benefits and welfare programmes.
- Help organise training & development sessions and track employee participation.
- Prepare HR documents like employment contracts, confirmation letters, and warning letters.
- Act as the first point of contact for employee queries on HR policies and procedures.
- Support disciplinary and grievance procedures in line with Ugandan labour laws.
- Assist in organising company events and staff engagement activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience as an HR Coordinator, HR Assistant, or similar role.
- Solid understanding of Ugandan labour laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HR software.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Must be willing to be based in Buliisa.
